To France and back in a weekend...

The last half hour from home we hit torrential rains engulfing our van as we were nearly blinded as we tried to find our way home.  Then my sweet Andrea and her daughter had 2 1/2 hours to drive on home from here.  Thankfully I had a message from her that they made good time and got home safe!
Almost an inch and half of rain, makes for cute rain puddle pictures with Bernadette for her daddy in Australia!
I was very much feeling that this weekend was very much like our two trips to France for Hallel to take her habit in 2009 and then for her first vows in 2011.  I surprised people with this observation - "If you wonder what going to France is like... this was  a lot like going to France.  It was so like the wonderful occasions we had outside for Hallel's taking of her habit and first vows... except it was in English!  How wonderful was that?   The best!
The foundress, Little Sister Marie, was a huge part of bringing France to Kansas City this weekend.  How wonderful to witness the same wonderful ceremony here in the U.S. outside under the stars.  To see the JOY of the three Americans as they without hesitation said yes to their call to join The Community of the Lamb!
The prayers of the Community are huge in our journey called Hallel's habit and vows in the midst of John's brain cancer and healing and now looking for direction!
The green Cathedral in France - John is right the number of the Community there does make for a different experience... yet, the American foundation is growing!
John in France just a few weeks after his biopsy and after his second chemo - he got better!

On the hillside at the feast!

In Kansas City - the three on Saturday night - the storm was chased away by prayer.  "Too many prayers have been said for that bad weather to come here."  "Say the Memorare 9 times, and the weather left!"  LS Marie
Little Sister Agape with her special lamb cake - so reminiscent of France!  Soon the 3 will be going to Saint Pierre and I have a feeling that it will seem a lot like home to them.  So blessed to have a weekend in France.  How we need to have the Community of the Lamb here in the heart of our sick and suffering country.  Jesus, we are filled with such joy, peace, love, gentleness, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, self-control... the fruits of the Spirit.  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Bless-bless, Barb
Such JOY!!!!!!!!!!!
More JOY - "When people say my name they are giving God the highest praise!"  We love you Hallel, and all 3 girls promised to give you a hug from us!  I am so blessed by you and your Community of the Lamb in our lives and your JOY being a Little Sister of the Lamb.
The dessert procession in France!
Now John and Mary leading the dessert procession - how far we have come in the last 5 years!  The glory of France has come to the heart of our country!
A short video of the procession led by John and Mary in Kansas City - a celebration of JOY!
