There is a flurry of activity here as little Dave is getting 6 of his toys to send with me for Big David Lanoue's 6th birthday today! We have plans to work on some homemade cards for Dave today as well as take advantage of this cooler weather and go to the park while Maria restocks her cupboards and fridge!
David with his mom and siblings in Michigan.
We are heading outside today to enjoy the coolness of the morning, and today it is really cool here. I hear that Dave will be celebrating tomorrow night. Happy Birthday, Dave! We love you and wish we were closet to help you celebrate. Jesus, hold Dave close to your heart burning with love for him. Thank you for his sweet loving kindness towards others, and how he loves to eat and sleep when he is hungry and tired... with no complaints or hesitation. Such an easy boy to have along on long trips like when we brought him down to Texas in February! So kind to the littler kids and such a lesson to them on how to eat and sleep when it is time to do that.
And a lover of babies is Dave too! He just has a magnet for little new babies!
Dominic will definitely know Big Dave growing up and know that Dave loves him!
David certainly reflects the LOVE of Jesus and His Bride, The Church, to all those around him with his joyful and loving ways - when he looks at you with those lake blue eyes filled with excitement and happiness - it makes you feel very special and excited for LIFE with him. Jesus, we trust in YOU. Amen and Hallelujah
With his loving Godfather, John.
Bless-bless, Barbara Luke
"I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will." Matthew 11:25-27 The Gospel for today.

A most beautiful feast of Our Lady today... I showed this image to the kids at breakfast today... so beautiful is The Mother and her Child - God come down to earth!
"In this way the scapular becomes a sign of the 'covenant' and reciprocal communion between Mary and the faithful: indeed it concretely translate the gift of his Mother, which Jesus gave us on the cross to John and through him, to all of us, and the entrustment of the beloved Apostle and us to her, who became our spiritual Mother." St John Paul II
Happy 6th birthday, David Lawrence!
Broken Hallelujah - The Afters
Family picture by the lighthouse on July 5th... cold and windy!
We believe by the Newsboys - the kids sang this in the back seat on the way home!
Singing along on the road...

Look who Dave shares a birthday with... Pope Francis! I wonder how he will celebrate the day - maybe with a bit more prayer for his mess of a world.
