Woke up to a "flower" in the small patch of grass behind their house in Fort Bliss. It was a very familiar squash blossom! We are puzzling where it came from, and the kids are excited to watch it grow into some kind of squash or pumpkin or melon. The chances of it surviving the hot desert heat and the lawn mower is not good... but it was a glimmer of the farm calling my heart home. But I arrived at the airport to a huge mess! The Dallas airport was closed due to thunderstorms and many flights were behind. Rather than spend the day in the airport - I exchanged a ticket for tomorrow morning and hope and pray I can get home!
So funny to find this familiar blossom to call me home this morning.
The kids were intrigued and want dad to mow around it...
A pose for grandma in their flag shirts before they took me to the airport... then they had to come and pick me up again. Do over tomorrow. Dear Lord, make a way for me to get home tomorrow. I am ready to get back to my life on the farm, and my husband. Jesus, we trust in YOU. Bless-bless, Barb
