Our life changed 35 years ago - Ruth Ida entered our lives!

Ruth surrounded by her wonderful loving family!
Ruth is having her birthday today!  Pat and I are both up on this frigid day - I am heading to work at the NH and he is doing chores so that they can all go to 8a mass.  It was special to be able to remind him that we were in the hospital 35 years ago on this day.  I was overdue and I was in to be induced, so I had spent the night and woke up to mild contractions starting.  The IV was hooked up and I had her around noon!  Our sweet little Rosebud - Ruth Ida Rose!
It is an exciting time for Ruth and Paul as they head to a national competition in a few days.  They are competing for excellence of Ag competition in San Diego... They have been working hard, and they have a true love for the farm and sharing that with others!
This Epiphany Sunday is a special day in itself, but it also is a great day of celebration of the wonderful wife/mother/woman/farmer/nurse/builder of playhouses and tree houses/Creighton Model instructor our Ruth Ida has become.  She amazes and charms us with her can do attitude.  We thank God for her and we are blessed to have her and her farm family just 3 miles away from us and very much involved in our lives and our farm!

Jesus, hold Ruth close to your heart burning with LOVE for her.  Jesus, we recognize you in our lives.  35 years ago, our first child showed us the wonder and JOY that LIFE brings to form a family.  Such a wonderful blessing she has always been as our oldest child.  Jesus, we come and adore you with the Kings this day.  Jesus, we trust in YOU!  Amen and Hallelujah
 Bless-bless, Barbara Luke
Her most beautiful is with her wonderful children - she wears motherhood so well!
