Godfather, John, was there to support David. Singing loudly some of the songs John remembers singing when he was a student there starting about 20 years ago and then for 9 years. When John left it felt like it was the end of an era, but here we are with now our 3rd grandchild out of the 5 now attending school where his mom and grandpa went to school ahead of them. It is such a great tradition carried on from generation to generation.
Such a wonderful smile as he is surrounded with the support and love of his family - that makes it all more special to share the joy with those we love in our domestic Church/family!
David getting his hat from his 8th grader.
A smile for cousin, Bernadette, and grandpa who are there to celebrate and show David how happy we are for him as he goes forward into LIFE!
The more family we have to share our lives with - the richer it will be!
It was very moving to read the first reading from Acts last night again this morning with Pat... Tears leapt to my eyes as I read about the conversion of the jailer - he was about to commit suicide and was prevented by the voice of Paul calling out to him from the prison... he then lights the lamps and sees them still in the prison of which they have been freed with the doors burst open and the chains broken..."Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" he asks them - seeing that they continue to trust in God and the miracle worked to free them. He takes them into his home and cares for their wounds, they are told about Jesus and take him into their hearts! He and all his family were baptized at once. He brought them up into his house and provided a meal and with his household rejoiced at having come to faith in God. Acts 16
Sharing a special cupcake and juice to celebrate as a family around Dave!
In the reading from Acts - one of the most beautiful parts is that this man shared his conversion with his family! That makes it so powerful and held close to the heart of that family to share this journey of Faith! It reminds me of the conversion of my entire family - all 13 of us 43 years ago!

Siblings and cousins gather around...
Jesus, we are so touched by the JOY that we can find and share as a family of Faith! Sharing your Truth that comes from the Holy Spirit at work in our lives brings us a sense of peace and a small slice of heaven here on earth. May we always share and give to one another without counting the cost. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah

Life is a gift to be cherished and protected no matter the cost from conception to natural death!
