The Lord's plan was a nice and unexpected one and we are smiling at the timing. Just about an hour before my plane landed Maria and Romeo came home to the loving arms of their family. A little face that is familiar to me over the years, and the long fingers and toes that also comes down through the family are a special reminder of the Family connections we have one to the other. He is a beautiful boy and I walked in to have him in my arms sleepy and sweet.
It is quiet here with naps going on and a tired Maria and sleeping Romeo just went to rest before supper. Our newest member of the family is doing so well, and we are glad that they were careful with him but feel that after the first 10 minutes he has been just fine! Better safe than sorry.
Big brother, David, still adjusting to the presence of Romeo. "He's being very sweet with his new brother." said Dad when he picked me up at the airport
Studying their new little gift! this reminds me a picture of John from 25 years ago... there is a resemblance too.
The house is quiet... I might go and lay down for a bit too. It has been a long day!
Jesus, thank you for the miracle of birth and new life making a family grow more and more... Love doesn't get stretched more thin it just grows bigger and more with each new life. My heart is swelling up with love for this beautiful work of art - Romeo Joseph! We will have to celebrate his arrival home today as well as Hallel's 29th birthday today. Some candy corn grandpa grew in the field arrived in my suitcase for the army kids tonight. None for Romeo yet... maybe next time. Such a powerful Gospel today, too! "I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven; hence she has shown great love..." Jesus about the woman who washed his feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. I have had tears throughout this journey today - for my missing my Hallel, and a wonderful picture of Maria surrounded by her 4 children! I have been forgiven much and the LOVE is rich as we embrace/carry/drag our Most Cherished Cross and find LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT! Jesus, we trust in YOU. Amen and Hallelujah
"Give thanks to God for he is good." Psalm 118 from mass today
