"The Lord is near to all who call upon him." Psalm 145

A face that lights up with joy... 10 month old Luke with a kitten by his shoulder.  The kitten is just starting to open its eyes and peek at the world.  And Luke is growing more and more aware and able to navigate through his young world too.  He is now crawling and pulling himself up to furniture and legs and the side of his crib, and he is for the most part a joyful and happy boy.  Such a delight!   The Lord is truly near when Luke is around!
Saturdays are devoted to Our Mother of God, Mary!  She answered with a humble "yes" to His call to bring LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT into the world, and then trusted!  May we say "yes" this day and trust that God is near to us and at work through and in us.  It is a big day here on the farm with the calves being weaned off of the cows.  It will be very loud around here with a lot of "bawling" calves!  I will work at the nursing home and return to the mayham!
It's starting to have that fall feel around here.  We slept under two blankets last night... so nice!
Jesus, I am calling upon You to be close to me this day, and assist me in serving without counting the cost!  Be with all the craziness of bringing the cows and calves home and dividing them from each other.  It seems like a hard and sad thing to do, but the calves take off and grow under the care of the farmers around here!  We want to always place you first in our lives and then trust that You are in control.  May we see you in the face of all we meet this day - most especially those close to us in our domestic Church/family.  May we take up our Most Cherished Cross and carry/drag it down the narrow path you have laid out for each one of us.  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Amen and Hallelujah

"May my mouth speak the praise of the Lord,
and may all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever."
Psalm 145 from mass today
A Hallel Psalm of totally Praise!
Just barely enough rain to get by - please, Lord, send more rains our way.
Third Day - Cry out to Jesus
