Off to work for the day at the NH... It will feel like Sunday with the services piped in overhead on the speaker system, and the Catholic service with communion brought around to those unable to attend. I have joined in on the prayers with many residents over the years, and known of that connection and bond. I will attend mass tonight out at the college, and join that college students there along with many from town that are catching the last mass of the weekend probably after a busy weekend filled with sports or coming back from the lake. Our Church contains all the array of ages... most Sundays we attend with the 4 generations, and that is a most special gift!
This Sunday a couple months ago we were at mass with the entire family with only Lt Joseph and Hallel missing - it was Dominic's Baptism day! We gathered for mass at The Basilica in Mpls where Pat and I had been married 36 years ago.
We were gathering for a family picture on this special occasion!
The two 6 year olds - in two days Therese will be a big sister to 3 brothers!
David looking like an excited and happy and dapper big brother in two days!
The portrait of LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT! Lord, be with Maria and Romeo on these last days and may all go well on the 9th with his entering the world and the loving arms of his family! Thank you for the rhythm of LIFE and all the blessings and graces we are given as we follow you down the narrow path carrying/dragging our Most Cherished Cross. Give the calves and cows peace as they adjust to the change of being apart to grow and be profitable for Pat and Paul. Be with me this day. Jesus, we trust in YOU. Amen and Hallelujah
Bless-bless, Barbara Luke the crazy-Catholic
"If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts." Psalm 95 from mass today
The Pat and Barb Verly family and their 5 children, in laws and grandkids along with many prayer warriors have been drawn together by John's cancer... sharing daily for 8 months started this blog- Family Soul Story - Our faith, family, farm and now our cancer journey called HEALING have colored and deepened our world. WE continue to share and depend on the support of our prayer warrior community, that has lowered us into the Lord's presence for His healing!
