An amazing icon I came across this morning of the new married couple that are now Saints together in The Church!
Jackie Francios wrote: "Now THIS is #relationshipgoals! haha! Being canonized together as saints, having all of your kids enter religious life, and having a canonized kid!
Saints Louis and Zélie Martin, parents of Saint Thérèse de Lisieux, are the first married couple in history to be proclaimed saints together today, 18 October 2015!"
If you want one of these in your home, like I do... here is the site to order it https://www.trinitystores.com/store/wooden-plaque/wood-plaque-17-sizes-sts-louis-z%C3%A9lie-martin-st-th%C3%A9r%C3%A8se-lisieux-siblings

So fabulous to now have a married couple, who raised all their children to give them back to God! They are now Saints together and so badly needed to intercede for all the broken and sick marriages this day and age! They truly realized what the true riches are - those that we store in Heaven!
So many pictures taken over the last week with Nancy and her 3 here, so I am going back to use some of them with my sharing today.
So much of the message of this couple yesterday speaks of being open to LIFE and raising LIGHTS.
"First we knew the fruit and then we found the tree (see Mt 7:16–20). If not for the Little Flower we would not have found her parents, but if not for Louis and Zélie, there would be no Saint Thérèse. Of course the latter is true in the same straightforward sense in which all parents are responsible for the existence of their children. But it is also true that the unique saintliness of this child would not have been possible without the unique saintliness of the parents. In enrolling the parents of this saint in its canon of saints, the Church celebrates the domestic culture that produced this blessed fruit." Leonard DeLorenzo
Got to use some of the many bunny pictures I took... David with the one that lies like a baby doll in their arms!
Of course I love that 3 of my 4 are married and are having those precious grandchildren, but I am so blessed by Hallel saying "yes" to Jesus' call to her becoming his Bride! As a result of her call and our sacrifice of our having her closely in our lives, other than her amazing prayers for us each day, we have been blessed a hundred fold with little brothers and sisters!
The bunny magnet bringing the kids around it!With harvest in full force now... the Gospel today rings very strong in my heart and soul! It is very hard to find the time to pray with my husband, but we have carved out some early morning prayer in the dark. Some days we do the short quick prayer of an Our Father and petitions... it just gets the day off to a better start as we place it in the Lord's hands. We know that thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God. Luke 12:21 When putting our great crop into bins/barns... we are totally focused on that day and night, yet knowing that Jesus is in control and all glory and honor goes to HIM!
Missing the hugs and sweet sharing with this little one!
My view today... Ruth is out helping Paul and these two are hanging out with grandma.
Rose coloring her pumpkin...notice the flowers she picked for grandma... Luke is potty training in the background. Rose now has a purple chin and hand thanks to the permanent marker she has. I guess it matches her outfit...
Lord, the riches we receive from you and your Bride, The Church, are more than silver or gold! There is more than we can ever hold in our hearts, minds and souls with each day! We are filled to overflowing with Jesus in His Word and Sacrament! Then we are also given the riches of The Saints that walk with us and intercede for us day after day. Today the Saints that came to America and loved and served the American Indians til death! Just as Hallel, they too embraced poverty when it comes to worldly possessions yet "rich in what really matters!" So that, no matter where the death which I had always present before my eyes should overwhelm me, I should die, and die most willingly, with the Sacred Scriptures, which had always been my greatest consolation; and with the graces of our Holy Mother The Church, which always I have loved greatly, but at that time more tenderly than ever; and with the cross of my Lord and Savior. St Isaac Jogues (1646) (He explains that he made a cross rudely out of wood that he carried with him.) Maybe it would help me, too, O Lord, if I too carried that small rude cross made out of wood with me to recall my treasures/riches in dying to self so that you may live in me... LIFE/LOVE/LIGHT/Jesus for all the world to see and believe! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Hallelujah
now picking up corn stalk bales is family time!
Rose and mom off to help.
I am sure she is smiling from heaven to see her parents as Saints!
