"Behold,I am with you always..." Matthew 28: 16-20

With this being Maria and Joseph's wedding weekend anniversary - I had found all these amazing pictures from that day 5 years ago... they had 4 priests and my dad as a permanent Deacon!  Fr Germain Louwagie is a cousin of my mother-in-law, and Fr Sam is a priest that grew up in San Lucas, Guatemala and was at our parish for a few years... then there were two that knew Maria and Joe from St Thomas.  A very amazing wedding mass it was!  So many amazing priests there to concelebrate the mass and to reveal the many different ways we are blessed by the priesthood from family and from the outreach/mission of our diocese to Guatemala - Pat and his sister Raterra had gone with Fr Sam on a week long trip to Guatemala!  A lifechanging experience it was for them!  My dad was a very powerful image also to be on the altar and performing the deacon roles in the mass - even with 4 priests!  It was a very amazing day for us - to be there surrounded by a large group of young people fluently responding in Latin throughout the service!  Maria, Susan and Nancy have all gotten into a wonderful group of the young Orthodox Catholics, who love and value all that the Catholic upholds to us in the Sacraments and the Truth!
So powerful and so many blessings - the Gospel for today is reminding us that "All power in heaven and earth has been given to me.  Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age." Yes, Jesus, we are filled to the brim with the Truth of the Trinity! The Father loved us so much that He sent You to embrace all of our humanness and then embrace the Cross to take away our sins and distractions that seperate us from you.  The darkness was vanished with the breaking of a New Day - Your life within us the indwelling of your Holy Spirit!  Jesus, may we go forth into our lives/family/domestic Church and be your hands and feet!  Jesus, we trust in you!  Amen and Halleluia

Bless-bless, Barb
"Brothers and sisters: Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.  For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back in fear, but you received a Spirit of adoption, through whom we cry, 'Abba, Father!'  The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if only we suffer with him so that we may be glorified with him."
Romans 8: 14-17
