Such a pretty sunny summer day we had today, and we went to a very special place - Camden State Park! It is special to me and our kids and now the grandkids! I saw Pat for the first time at his sister, Margie's wedding on June 10th, 1977 - she had her wedding reception here at Camden! It was hot and I thought her brother, Pat, was so great! Then 24 years later, Paul proposed to Ruth right here at the pond! She was sharing this with the kids today. They didn't really understand what asking someone to marry them was all about, but Ruth and I both shared how special Camden is for the both of us. There were summers when I and the kids spent day after day there practicing their swimming... Pat, a non swimmer, was determined that our kids would not only swim but go all the way to lifeguard and swim instructor, and they did!
Mary's hair curled in the water fun!
Cooling off at the pool was like stepping back 25-30 years, and going out there with my young brood of kids! Same cool spring fed water and gravely sand to play in complete with tadpoles and frogs. We are sun-kissed-maybe-a-bit-burned, and thinking that we will have many days at the beach ahead!
Rose this is Camden and it will be special to you as it has been for generations ahead of you!

Bless-bless, Barb
