Like a amazing dream!

Yesterday was like such a crazy amazing dream!  It was good for the most part, but there were elements of it that were just unbelievable to think that it really happened at all!   Here we were at our 3 month mark from our last checkup at Mayo, and in March we had been told that at 2 years out without cancer that we didn't need to return until for 6 months!  It was a huge step - yet a bit scary for us.  It was like we needed to "see" for ourselves that the cancer was still gone at our usual 3 month timing from the last one.  It was necessary to do 2 MRIs at 2 different hospitals to prove that his brain was still beautiful to behold, with nothing but health glowing from every crease and wrinkle!  Our cancer doctor told us firmly that she didn't want to see us for 6 months this time!  People are telling us that the next time they don't want to hear about it, because this was too hard to go through for a "fake" stroke!  We are just too amazed and filled with wonder, and Joy beyond belief!  It is all like a very wild DREAM to get a clean bill of health after a hairy ambulance drive and stroke symptoms!  We are so grateful beyond words!
The Merciful Heart of Jesus was beautiful for us to behold in the chapel in St Marys... after a very wonderful visit with some cousins that are starting their cancer journey.  The word just came to us through his caringbridge site - http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/marcz - that the surgery done by the same surgeon that did John's biopsy went very well!  He is moving all his extremities and speaking!  WE are overjoyed, and when I read it to John - he was beaming ear to ear!  It means a lot to hear the good news for our cousin, who came to Mayo for a second opinion, and felt the peace and trust he needed to go ahead with his surgery!  My cousin, Jane, who is there to support her brother, shared on facebook that the surgeon joined them in prayer after the surgery - thanking Jesus for how well it all went!   Wow!  How I am filled with gratitude for this wonderful place we were called to 3 years ago!  It gave us great comfort to be there yesterday, and to return to St Marys - where it all began- was powerful and a great way to celebrate our 3 year anniversary that will be marked by Father's Day in a week from Sunday!  And now with the great news about Marc - it could not be better!  And no Barb it is not a dream... it is for real!  Jesus, we are amazed and grateful for your LOVE and Truth!  Jesus, we trust in you!  Amen and Halleluia
Bless-bless, Barb and family
A mural in the chapel!  A true sign of peace and JOY!
