Simple beauty

The wild roses are reminding me of the unexpected ways that we can be touched by wild and simple beauty.  The color pink is so unexpected to see in our lowly prairie ditches.  Yellow or white or purple is a common color among the wild flowers in the pastures and the clover that was so lush in Camden yesterday.  But the hot and soft pinks of the roses that put their blossoms out along the edges of the ditch are a delight to the eyes!  A reminder that beauty can be found in the humblest and simple grassy ditches of the prairie.  Not planted by man but placed there in the randomness of nature to remind us of being simple and beautiful to those around you - a surprising eye catching sight to behold in our common lives!
A good diversion from the hail beaten corn just next to them!  How did these, what appear to be delicate blossoms survive when the corn looks like this... good news is that it should still do alright in the long run.  Thank goodness for that!

And for the wild rose to give us hope and joy!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb
