Out at Camden State Park with Ruth and her 4 today as well as John. It was a place where we would spend many hours in the summer as the kids were growing up. Pat was determined that they would be swimmers, so we would spend many hot afternoons in the spring fed cool waters of Camden practicing what they had learned in swimming lessons. It is so special to sit there with the grandkids now and my kids grown and still speaking with great appreciation of their memories here growing up!
Mary made a small aquarium with snails and tadpoles in it.
Rose enjoyed the cold water on her toes after she got over the initial shock. The thing about swimming in Camden rather than the heated swimming pool in town is that they cold waters of Lake Michigan just did not feel that bad - we are used to cold spring fed waters here!
It was a good day in the sun and felt like a picture perfect cool summer day without the bugs too! Couldn't be better!
It is summer time to share relaxing time with family and keeping your toes in the cool lake and watching the kids having adventures is the best! I can close my eyes and remember when this was the girls out catching tadpoles and swimming like fish!
Postcard kind of day filled with many gifts called FAITH/FAMILY/FARM!
