The sun so bright that it blinds the eye and puts the men in radiant brightness as they do the evening work of vacinating cows and calves. Pat is even appearing to only be half there as the LIGHT erases his upper half - how glorious when we can become more and more HIS, and speak and live with the confidence that we are sharing the Truth in Christ! How do we know that we are in this place of disappearing so that Christ can live and work through us? By the fruits of our lives and our work! If we become more and more closed in and negative and unloving towards those around us... what does that reveal? Not the LOVE of Christ and sharing his Truth as He teaches us to be nonjudgemental and to love without counting the cost! Yes, it is very hard to do this, and I do feel there are the times that we need to stand firm by the Truth we know and not to get into that gray area. This is all quite confusing and difficult to truly follow after HIM and leave our selfishness behind. The path is narrow and winding and climbing up the mountain of God as we also carry our Most Cherished Cross - it is hard and at times painful in the dying to self most of all. I look at the Community of the Lamb, who not only embrace poverty themselves but live among and minister to the poor while they beg for their bread by knocking on the door of the poor! They care for a love all as Christ asks us to, even to the point of coming to the door of those that are Moslim or Budhist - they share with them the Word of God - Christ in his Truth by actions as well as words.
We stopped over to see the kittens as they are starting to open their eyes and take the world in a little at a time.
Lord, may we be open and loving with all those that we come in contact with most especially those in our domestic Church/family! We know that you gave up all for us - may we do this in return as you call us to serve without counting the cost. Jesus, we trust in YOU. Amen and Halleluia
St Anthony, pray for us, and bring all the lost to Christ and His Truth!
