David got a female kitten for his birthday last July, and now she is the mother of 5 kittens! That is a big exciting event for the 4 kids around there, but also for Ruth Ida. She has always been a cat lover and carer for kittens. This is the one she has chosen as her favorite... it is probably the largest and has more fluffy fur than the others. I am sitting here listening to the many birds singing out the open window, but also to the cows and calves bellowing as they put them out to pasture across the road. Living out here in the country is not always peaceful, when you have livestock it can be quite crazy loud at times. I had a most wonderful peaceful time out plugging in and unplugging the fencer as they tried to find the place where it was shorting off... the wind was blowing over me in a wonderful way, it was the perfect temperature, and no bugs! A most gloriously perfect evening to be outside in the evening beauty with my rosary in my hand to fill the space of enjoying time with the depth of PRAYER through My Mother to Jesus - her Son, who honors her and listens to her!

I felt great gratitude to Jesus last evening as I had this time to help out. It is so glorious to see the sun shining and giving us some of the heat units we need to get for our crop to grow and yield a hunderd fold! It is a reminder of today's feastday for one of the disciples - Barnabas! He too was called upon to help out our Lord and go forth to plant and harvest the crop of Faith and growing the Church for our Lord, Jesus Christ! "It is Christ whom we proclaim, admonishing everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. For this I labor and struggle, in accord with the exercise of his power working within me." Colossians 1: 28-29
John had a job too - watching for heat, and helping Pat and Paul get many pairs out to pasture.
From the psalm for today - Psalm 98
"All the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation of our God.
Sing joyfully to the Lord, all you lands;
break into song; sing praise."
Lord, may we carry forth your Word in our lives and gather in the crop/seed planted in good soil! May it yield much, Lord, in the LIGHT of your LOVE and Sonshine- watered with the waters of eternal LIFE! St Barnabas toiled at the side of St Paul and embraced the humble and less noticed position next to this man of huge work! May we also in our small ways help to proclaim your Truth to all that we come in contact with - most especially those in our domestic Church/family. Allow us to reach those that have not yet had the JOY of knowing YOU and your Bride, The Church. May your Church continue to be a beacon on the hill for all to see. From the Gospel today - "You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house. Just so, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father." Matthew 5: 13-16 Lord, may your LIGHT shine through me today - most especially to those the closest to me that I tend to treat the worst. Why Lord? The ones we love the most we tend to treat the worst... may it be different from this day forward, Lord. May I give without counting the cost, as You showed us how to LOVE this way by embracing the Tree of LIFE - the Cross. Jesus, we Trust in YOU. Amen and Halleluia
