Saturday for Our Blessed Mother - thinking about my mother.

Out with the cows.... Pat and John
We are so blessed as women to have the Queen Mother.  She shows us the beauty of being a woman and mother - two things which our world has made less than the beauty which they are to be.  Saying that selfless "yes" to LIFE was very much modeled for me most of all by Our Spiritual Mother, Mary Most Holy, but also by my own mother, Nancy Cross!  She bore 8 children as a Protestant ministers' wife, and then when a family of 4 children was left without parents in a horrible car accident, she agreed to become their mother - adding up to 12 children!  I was the oldest, so truly felt and lived this "yes!"  Today all of these children, including the two from heaven are praying for her safety as she is in the hospital awaiting a pacemaker.  She has been sick for about 4 weeks and we are coming now to the bottom of the issue and hopefully with a quick surgery she will be on the mend.  I have truly come in touch with how fiercely determined my parents are in the face of health issues.  Maybe a bit too much, but as we say with Pat's mother - that is why she is still getting around at 92!
Our Lady/ Mother Mary Most Holy, we are so blessed to have you there to intercede for our mother this day.  We her children have been cared for by her over the years, and now we lift her up to you and trust.  Bring her to your Son for peace and healing as she goes through the difficulties of facing surgery today.  We long to be there with her, yet are prevented by work this day.  Your arms are surrounding her and protecting her.  Jesus, we trust in YOU.  Amen and Halleluia

Sharing the rosary - "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.  Blessed are you among women and blessed is the Fruit of your womb, Jesus."  Luke 1
Bless-bless, Barb
