Ruth was very kind to come over and help me clean out my garden... I even found some tomatoes that we can still eat! Little Rose came along too! She is very much loving having her mommy close by, and is at that age where she sits in your lap so nice. The woodstove is taking the coolness out of the air in the house. But it was a breezy warm (60degree) day today here... I was able to put my clothes on the line, and dig carrots and potatoes. It is so nice to have a daughter close by to help me now that I am older and not as spry as I used to be. It is kind of backwards that the kids are gone when you need the help more. Ruth was describing how her kids were helping her clear off her garden, and I remember those days too when I had the kids all out there with me too! I am just happy that I have Ruth here to call on, and she is a wonderful agreeable worker to help her old mom!
Kind of funny looking rainbow carrots this year. I wonder how they will taste?!?
