The rest of the story of the little old man's gift of a rosary for Patrick!

Little Patrick is getting now 16 ounces of his mother's milk every 24 hours!  He seems so content and peaceful today he was on his favorite right side and his hands were folded as if he were in prayer.  Tomorrow his arterial line should come out and 4 hours later mom and dad will be there to hold him in their arms for the first time!  That will be so wonderful for them, and for our little Lamb, Patrick!
Maria attended her Coucil of Catholic Women meeting today.  "I was going over to ask the gal that brought the rosary from that old man to see if she knew anymore about it.  Just then a woman came over to me and told me that it was her dad that gave us the rosary."  She told Maria that her dad was here visiting and they were at the mass for Patrick and the rosary following.  She shared that she has a brother named Patrick and he has downs syndrome.  "She said that when her dad told her that he had given Patrick his old rosary... she thought that it was less than good that he had done that.  Then she read what you wrote about how touched we were to "see" the prayers that had been said by this humble mended rosary!  She realized that the old rosary was a beautiful and appreciated gift after all!"  Once again the stories that surround us of the Faith and Faith experiences of so many give us such HOPE and JOY!  We are so grateful to the Spiritual Army that surrounds us and fills us with PEACE as we gather together in our domestic Church/family.  Jesus, we trust in you.  Amen and Halleluia

Bless-bless, Barb
Now to return to my rosary of today - I am on the decade I say for my husband, Patrick, and I am sure that the little old mended rosary was used many times to pray for his son Patrick, who was graced with the Cross of Downs Syndrome.  I am sure that this new Patrick, who we met through shared prayer,  has taught many in his life the beauty of being a Lamb.  Jesus, we are YOURS!  May we humbly embrace our Cross and follow after YOU!  Jesus, we trust in you.
