I have not much doubt that St Francis is by Joseph's side this day. He is well aware of the feast days that come along and is counting on them as well as his guardian angel to protect him from harm!
Fr Jean Claude is a Franciscan and is the Spiritual director for the Community of the Lamb! There is no doubt that they are royally celebrating this day with much of St Francis words, life and example! He loved coming to the U. S. for the first time... he felt that the Americans are very much into the Truth and practicing their Catholic Faith! The Church in Europe is suffering and poorly attended, so it was a wonderful surprise to enter our churches and to find fervent worshippers there!

Maria's 5 months in the Poor Clares was also a direct connection to St Francis as she was his friend, who embraced the life of poverty...
