Barbara Lynn Luke here today knowing that my patron saint - St Luke is standing beside the Great Physician/healer in such a powerful and special way today! October 18th is St Luke's feast day and what better a day than the day we await the results of his MRI. There are many prayers for healing of his brain, as we discover with each tube that is removed that he has a beautiful glorious healthy body! In our midnight vigil we discovered that he had had his MRI at about 10p last night. They wrapped him tightly in a blanket and put a nuk in his mouth and protected his ears... the humming and the vibration lulled him to sleep and he was very still as is needed for a good test. Like his Uncle John, who goes into the MRI tube regularly and sleeps through it, and also has had prefect results for the last 2 1/2 years! No brain cancer! We ask the great physician to now heal our grandson's brain! So many prayers for that intention!
We are thrilled to be hearing our the voice of our little Lamb, Patrick. He is quite quiet and mom described them to Therese as mouse peeps. Every time we hear him make a sound we are thrilled to share in that new experience with his breathing tube now out! Our hopes are so high that soon the other tube necessary to come out will be out and we will be able to hold him in our arms. Then the Kisses will be nonstop! I chose St Luke as a 20 year old convert to Catholicism along with the other 12 members of my family! He was a physician and I was in nursing school, also I love his Gospel in which we learn more about our Blessed Spiritual Mother than anywhere else! The Magnificat describes ST Luke this way..."St Luke highlights Jesus' proclamation of God's healing word to all sorts of sinners and sufferers, from the grieving widow of Nain to the semi-comical tax collector, Zacchaeus, to the dramatic and anonymous woman who washed his feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair." Lord, with St Luke at your side we rely on you to heal your little Lamb, Patrick. Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Halleluia
