This is the pictures that we had planned to have to share today... but now our little Patrick is lying in a small bed in NICU, and we can only touch him and not hold him yet. Maria is now with him at Providence Memorial Hospital as she was transferred there this evening. At this moment they are having their first time together outside the womb. I am sure that Patrick is greatly comforted to hear his mom's voice after hearing it inside the womb for the last 9 1/2 months. He looks very much like his older brother, David, so when you look at this think of the beauty of Patrick without the many tubes and wires...
This is a picture I took last night on my late night vigil in NICU. I know that at this time Maria is there with him and her hand is letting him know of the HOPE and PRAYERS that are flooding over and around him! Thank you! We had unrealistic hopes of going up there tonight to see Maria and Patrick through the window - as his siblings will not be allowed to come in there. But it will happen tomorrow instead. We are overwhelmed with all the support and prayers for our little gift from God, Patrick! HIs little cooling helmet hides the brown hair he has that is much like his older brother, David's. We continue to pray for our little "sick" Patrick! Jesus, we know that you love in a special way your little ones. There was such a feeling of grace and beauty as I looked around last night at the tiny perfect hands and feet that were moving around in the tiny isolets. Your LOVE is revealed in such a real way in the perfection of each human being - no matter how small or how sick. We ask for healing. All the prayers and stories of God's goodness are filling us with such HOPE and PEACE! Jesus, we trust in you. Amen and Halleluia

Patrick is with his mother tonight! Praise HIM! May their love for each other and for YOU, O Lord, bring healing one to the other. Jesus, we trust in you.
