Back from an adventure with a 5 day old...

Ruth is such a trooper!  She and her brand new baby just spent 8 hours in the car with a total of 4 hours spent at a wedding shower for her cousin and a family Sunday dinner with Nancy and her family!  Kind of crazy and by time we pulled back home we were tired, so this is going to be super short tonight.  I just wanted to download my pictures, and this is from last night.  I have so many wonderful pictures these days with all the special moments of welcoming our little Rose Ida.  This time with her older brother, David, was very sweet to behold.
Rose went to her first Sunday mass and it was so special to see her grandpa, Pat, carrying her with such love and pride and happiness to have a new little one, and the fact that she looks just like our girls - her mom and 3 aunts- is just wonderful!  How many times have I seen my big strong Pat with a baby resting on his arm and basically in his large hands over the years?  There could never be too many times to see this sight!  Mass is so wonderful to share it with a new little one for the first time! Rosita, may you always hunger and thirst for HIM!  Jesus, we trust in you.  Bless-bless, Barb

A visit to great-grandma Verly, Pat's mom.

And with Great-grandma Cross, my mom.  We just had to travel 4 hours there and back to see her and the rest of my family at a shower for Ruth's cousin, Emily.  We had a good visit and it was good to do!  Rose was perfect, as was her older sister, Mary!  A girls day!
