"Why are you hurting me?" Our Lady of Guadalupe

Started the morning reading a sharing on FB about an abortionist who is now running a clinic for LIFE!  This is the article -
http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/former-abortionist-spreads-gospel-of-life, and it is well worth your time to read and rejoice!  Dr Bruchalski now runs the Tepeyak center - named that because that is the place where Juan Diego encountered Our Lady of Guadalupe!   His conversion back to the Truth started happening in Tepeyak, Mexico, when on a visit to Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine - he heard Our Lady ask him, "Why are you hurting me?"  Then on to Medjugorje where once again Our Lady makes her wishes known for LIFE!  It is so powerful and amazing to see the work that Our Lady is doing, and has done from 2,000 years ago for LIFE!  She brought LIFE into the world by saying YES to the Holy Spirit placing God in her immaculate womb!  Now she appears to us over and over to show us her Son, and to protect all LIFE!  The black sash that she is wearing, when she appears to Juan Diego, shows, according to their culture, that she is pregnant with Christ!  So powerful today are the words of Christ to us in the Gospel... looking at the miracle of my new little granddaughter, Rose Ida, and realizing that if Ruth had listened to her family doctor here in Marshall 6 years ago... neither her soon to be 4 year old son, David, nor Rose would be here with us to bless our lives, and to be two more lights to this world!
It was such a delight to spend time with her on the couch last night, as she with great interest, and peace, and joy... watched her sister and brother run and play!  How many times have we experienced this as women... Jesus said..."Amen, amen, I say to you, you will weep and mourn,  while the world rejoices; you will grieve, but your grief will become joy.  When a woman is in labor, she is in anguish because her hour has arrived; but when she has given birth to a child, she no longer remembers the pain because of her joy that a child was born into the world.  So you are also now in anguish.  But I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you."  John 16:20-23
Wow!  Isn't that the exact experience of giving birth?  Pain at about a 10, and then after hours of suffering as no other... the baby is here in your arms, and all is forgotten!  I amazed my doctor... by always talking about having 12 kids, and looking forward to the next year and the next baby about as soon as I had a new one in my arms!  I admit that I am a bit on the exteme, and it gives me some fear and joy at the same time to see my girls following in my example.  Lord, help them and their husbands!

Grandpa's big hardworking hand rests on his precious new little granddaughter.  He has been the beacon on the hill for our family now entering its third generation..."The world needs LIGHTS!"  That is the words of wisdom the Holy Spirit gave to us, through his listening to the Wisdom of our Church and the Truth that will set us on the narrow path following HIM, and carrying our Most Cherished Cross!  These words from Christ today in the Gospel are put into perspective when I look at the embracing of LIFE in our marriage/domestic church/family!  Choosing to be open to family has been a hard and difficult Cross for our family - with 6 hard losses - we have reached 11 children - 5 here with us and 6 awaiting our arrival in heaven!  All those prayers are needed and appreciated, and knowing that they are there watching over me and keeping tabs on me makes me attempt to follow HIS Way, HIS Truth, and HIS Life with more fervor!  It would have been much easier financially and time for myself, to have just adopted the lies of the world and Satan - that the world is such a mess and overcrowded that we should only have two kids... we could have had that boat, or that nice car, or that romantic vacation to some far away place a few times a year... but I have seen through my work with hospice where death shows us the real important things in our lives - Faith and Family is what is comes down to!  Just as they say... "You can't take it with you."  That is becomes very apparent to us as we face the end of our days on earth and realize that it wasn't all worth it, and that how does all that "stuff" comfort us when we are suffering and dying?  Our faith and the family, that we have been blessed with, is what counts then!  The rejoicing of the world is hollow and of no benefit when it really counts.. it is passing with the wind.  Joy that lasts, and will not be taken from us is our life with HIM, and the welcoming of all LIFE with LOVE!

So beautiful, and peaceful, and the promise of years as a welcome and beautiful member of our domestic church/family!
Jesus, your Words to us remind us of the many ways we are told to continue on the narrow path.  It can be very painful and hard, but that reminds us that we are not in control of our lives, and that your mysterious ways are filled with the what we need to find that True JOY!  Joy that will not be taken away from us - no matter what!  We are filled with joy that your Mother comes to us over and over to lead us on the path of Truth in LIFE!  She is working so hard to show us the truth about LIFE, and through that our LOVE and Peace and Joy grow more and more!  Just as "Christ had to suffer and to rise from the dead, and so enter into his glory."  So we too must die to self, so that we may rise with you, and be used by your!  Come Holy Spirit, and we will be yours now and forever.  Jesus, along with your Mother Mary Queen of Heaven and Earth and Protector and Bringer of all LIFE into the world,we trust in you.  Amen and Halleluia, Halleluia, Halleluia, Halleluia!

Bless-bless, Barb
"I beg you, my most Blessed Virgin, who are never jealous of your children, offer us Christ by your loving favor.  Pay no heed to your children's offenses, for they are unable to honor you fittingly.  For she, who is bound by the love of childbearing,is tolerant of her children's irreverance.  No matter how unworthy they are of your faithful prayers, nevertheless help them, whom you bore in bearing your only Son.  Pray to your only Son for the many who go astray...For she carried, contained in her immaculate womb, the God whom all creation cannot contain.  Yes, she is the only woman who deserved to be called Mother and Bride; she repaired the damage done by the first mother; she brought redemption to fallen mand...It is right that we extol her as blessed in a unique proclamation, since she brought the world a unique relationship with God."
Abbot Ambrose Autpert (778)

LIFE and LOVE is a gift from above - a little slice of HEAVEN/JESUS!
