John held up by his family and all praying for him to be healed!

Sitting in Rochester as we await the results of the many tests... I sit by the window after entering a request for prayer on our caring bridge site...So much peace floods me as I say my rosary looking out from the 10th floor onto a scene that is sadly familiar to us. Many times we have sat looking out as we tearfully called our family to tell them that the cancer is back or we have sat united waiting to go and talk the the doctors about what can be tried next... nervous, scared and anxious... This day, May 13th, 2010... has all the power and the glory to support us as we read in prayer and the readings of the mass... The Feast of the Ascension... Feast of our Lady of Fatima... We share our faith and hope for the best! The "prayer family" pours their support over us! We think about how far we have come and feel more and more at peace and confident in the Lord's healing hand upon us! We are called back to our room and the silence is hard and long... we say a decade of the rosary - The Crown of Thorns - one which has signified this battle of brain cancer! We finish with a glory be and the Fatima prayer - "O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven especailly those most in need of thy mercy." The door bursts open... our doctor comes in beaming and walks straight to John giving him a huge hug... exclaiming with joy; "You are cancer free... Your brain is clear!" WE collapse upon each other in tears and hugs of joy and trust! Thank you Lord, Jesus Christ! John calls his grandma first and she immediately weeps and so does John! Calling all 4 of his sisters after... he continues to weep for joy..."I have my life back!"
