Almost 32 years ago... we received this simple yet special wedding gift... It has been in our bedroom window ever since and represents the wonderful answer to my prayers - my wonderful farmer... "my most cherished cross!" I was sharing with a friend the other day that my maiden name was Cross - well, I lost that and now have my Most Cherished Cross - Patrick Gerard Verly!
With now almost 4 inches of rain in the last few days... I was surprised once again down by our mailbox... we have a fairly long driveway, so it is a bit of a "nature hike" to go and get the mail. There is a regular rose garden down there and I could smell the wonderful smell of roses... there was also a busy honey bee... undetered by the rain and trying to get the nectar for it's honey! Life goes on under water too!
