Nancy's engagement to Bill Bandzuch - April 10,2010 - Such a powerful lesson on waiting...

Our wonderful daughter, Nancy Anna Joan of Arc.... She came into the world quietly and has been a delight to us! From the first day home from the hospital... she slept all night, and from a mother's and father's perspective... that made her angelic! She found her voice after tubes were placed in her ears at age 1, but still has been a wonderful delight to us and her siblings! She became very close to her younger brother, John, when she returned to Marshall and became and Englisn teacher/ speech coach at the high school that she graduated from... John had her for an English teacher as well as his coach for speech for the last two years of high school and Nancy even handed him his diploma on graduation day! Pretty amazing for him as he also had his brother in law, Paul Lanoue, as his ag teacher and FFA advisor... He and Nancy started the same year in Marshall! Nancy lived here for 3 wonderful years and as a mother I prayed so hard that she would meet someone and settle down here. We loved having her here to share our lives, but it was a cross for her to see cousins and a younger sister and friends marry... At one point it seemed that prayers were answered when she was swept off her feet by a man a year ahead of her in school, who had just been hired by a big law firm in New York... they reconnected when he was in town to visit his family and a long distance relatioship started. They called a lot and Nancy shared her deepest thoughts and the fact that she valued her Catholic faith above all. HE convinced her to come to New York to visit... while there he wined and dined her and took her to see the sights... when Sunday came along she told him that she wanted to go to mass... he told her that he would take her there and drop her off, but wouldn't go with her even though she made it clear that this was very important to her. That was the beginning of the end...she returned and broke off the relationship! So powerful to see that we need to hold onto our values and not settle.... She, after 3 years, knew that she had to move up to the Cities to have more of a chance of meeting good Catholic men... The rest is history now as we are thrilled to have Bill coming into the family and to see how well matched they are... They have been sharing mass and Holy Hour weekly... the first time Bill came out of Adoration after sharing it with Nancy... he wept! Now that is a wonderful man, and we are thrilled! Thank you Jesus... it was a bit of a hard wait for Nancy, but she has been blessed and her prayers and tears have been answered in a wonderful way! Jesus we trust in You!
